Day 1, January 29 – Ushuaia
Arrive in Ushuaia today. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the world’s most southerly city. Early this evening, join us for a Group Welcome and Orientation, followed by Shabbat Services and a group dinner at a local restaurant. (D)
Day 2, January 30 – Ushuaia/Drake Passage
Enjoy a free morning in the world’s most southerly city, Ushuaia. Take part in an optional excursion in this scenic city. Do any last minute shopping or explore the town or the surrounding countryside. Embarkation on the MS Expedition begins in the afternoon at the port in Ushuaia. Enjoy the evening sailing through the Beagle Channel. (B, D)
Days 3-4, January 31 – February 1 – Drake Passage/South Shetland Islands
Our adventure begins with a 497 mile crossing of the passage named in honor of the 16th-century English sea captain and privateer Sir Francis Drake. Take in daily lectures from the expedition team and keep an eye out for the first sightings of icebergs, whales and albatross following in the Expedition’s wake. (B, L, D)
Days 5-8, February 2-5 – South Shetland Islands/Antarctic Peninsula
Experience some of the most unique wildlife viewing and inspiring scenery in the world while setting foot on the Antarctic continent. Attempt two shore landings per day (weather permitting) and encounter gentoo, chinstrap, weddell and adélie penguin rookeries, crabeater and leopard seals, and orca, humpback and minke whales in the cold Antarctic waters. The peninsula also has a remarkable human history. (B, L, D)
Days 9-10, February 6-7 – Drake Passage/Ushuaia
Begin the journey north to the home port of Ushuaia. Review the highlights of the Antarctic experience with the lecturers and staff. Keep your eyes open on the observation deck for some last-minute whale sightings. (B, L, D)
Day 11, February 8 – Ushuaia
In the morning, we will reach the Argentinean city of Ushuaia. Ushuaia is situated on Tierra del Fuego Island south of the Magellan Strait. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home, taking with you wonderful memories of your amazing journey to Antarctica. (B)

1. Landings are based on ice, weather and wildlife conditions and are subject to change.
2. You must be in good physical health in order to participate in this expedition.
3. You will be taking zodiac rafts to and from our Expedition Ship to reach land in Antarctica.
4. You will be walking on ice in boots which are provided.
5. A signed medical form must be provided in order to participate.

A deposit of $850 is due with your reservation. Final payment is due on October 19, 2015.
These rates are based on an all-inclusive, custom-designed package that differs from offerings seen in public advertising.
Please note that final payments for this trip will be charged in a foreign currency. Therefore, unless you have a credit card that waives foreign transaction fees, you will see a small fee on your credit card statement. Please check with your credit card for more details. You may also pay by check to Amazing Journeys.
For the convenience of Amazing Journeys passengers, all port taxes, government fees, gratuities to Exploration staff and Onboard personnel and program fees are included with the above rates.

Air and Transfers: International airfare has not been included with the rates. Air must be purchased by the passenger in and out of Ushuaia, Argentina. Details will be sent with your cruise confirmation. Transfers to the hotel in Ushuaia and the ship will be offered on the tour dates and is included with the rate.
Cancellation Policy for the Cruise: From the time of deposit until July 16, there is a cancellation penalty of $100. From July 17 – October 19, 2015, the cancellation penalty is the amount of the deposit. From October 20 – November 18, 2015, the cancellation penalty is 50% of the total package price. Cancellations made on or after November 19, 2015 and “no-shows” will receive no refund. There is no refund in the event of interruption or cancellation by the passenger after the start of the tour.
Cancellation Insurance: Trip insurance is required and is available through Amazing Journeys, LLC. Information will be sent with your cruise confirmation.
Port taxes, Government Fees and Gratuities: Port taxes and government fees have been included in the rate. Gratuities have also been included in the rate. These are based on March 2015 rates and are always subject to change. Fuel surcharges may be added by G Adventures. Should oil costs go above $65 per barrel, and the cruise lines reinstate these fees, Amazing Journeys reserves the right to add them back at that time.
Passport and Visas: Passengers must present a valid passport (valid for at least six months beyond the last date of travel) to board the vessel. In addition, a reciprocity fee for Argentina is required.
Argentina’s Reciprocity Fee: Effective January 7, 2013 all US, Canadian and Australian citizens are required to pay a reciprocity tax in order to enter Argentina. This reciprocity tax must be paid in advance online with a credit card. Cash at the border or airport is not accepted. Costs are as follows:
US citizens: 160USD, valid for 10 years
Australian citizens: 100USD, valid for 1 year
Canadian citizens: 92USD for one entry and re-entries from bordering countries within 3 months
Food: Dining is done as open seating on this exploration ship. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style and dinner is a four-course meal. Vegetarian options are available for all meals but if you have any additional special dietary requirements please advise us at the time of booking. We regret that some meal requests may not be available (i.e. Kosher).
Disabled Facilities: The ship is not designed for those with severe mobility restrictions or wheelchair dependent passengers and is unable to accept wheelchairs or motorized scooters. Embarkation and disembarkation from the ship require passengers to climb the gangway or step into zodiac boats. All shore excursions involve some walking and some excursions are walking tours only.
