Cancellation Policy:From the time of deposit until October 13, 2022, there is a $750 penalty for cancellation. From October 14 – December 21, 2022, the cancellation penalty is $1500. From December 22, 2022 – January 12, 2023, penalty is 50%. From January 13, 2023 until the day of travel the cancellation penalty is 100% of the cost of the tour including the intra-flight. Cancellations made on the day of departure and “no-shows” will receive no refund.  There is no refund in the event of interruption or cancellation by the passenger after the start of the journey.

Travel Protection: It is obligatory for all passengers to obtain necessary insurance before arriving in Ecuador. Information will be sent with tour confirmation.

Passport & Visa Requirements: A passport is necessary to travel on this itinerary.  It must be valid for six months beyond the last day of the trip. A visa is not required for citizens of the US, Canada, Australia, UK or EU countries. Please note that visa requirements can change at any time and it is up to the traveler to be aware of visa requirements.

COVID Precautions: Until further notice, we require you to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and boosters are recommended to keep you healthy and safe while traveling but at this time, not required. Please send us a copy of your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card with the CDC logo by email or fax to Amazing Journeys. We do not test for COVID-19 or any other diseases. It is up to each traveler to be aware of any requirements or changes to state and country mandates and airline requirements as they are changing often. Depending upon the situation at the time of this trip and the destination, some components may be modified, and masks may be required as determined by the CDC or the countries we are visiting.

COVID Testing & Vaccines: We will be advising at a time closer to the time of travel if any documentation is necessary in order to enter Ecuador or return back to your home country.  Requirements are changing often and it is too early to gauge what the requirements will be at the time of travel.

Activity Level: 4 of 5: Passengers must be in sound health and physical condition. Participants are responsible for selecting a trip that is within their abilities and interests, and to decide if their participation on the tour is safe as they will have to get on and off the yacht or ship from a small dinghy, swim among wildlife, rocks and in open sea, dive in the ocean, climb up and down during hikes, walk over uneven terrain, travel by maritime transportation, car and bus, and engage in adventure activities. Amazing Journeys reserves the right to restrict the participation of passengers on hikes if they entail any kind of imminent hazard for the passenger or other group members, and the passenger who is disembarked is fully liable for all related risks and costs.

Flights & Transfers: International airfare is not included in the tour rate.  Roundtrip flights from Mainland Ecuador to the Galapagos have been included in the tour rates. For your international flights, it is important that you not purchase airfare until you receive a confirmation letter from Amazing Journeys which will contain specific flight parameters.  This tour begins in Quito (UIO) and ends in Guayaquil (GYE). Arrival and departure airport transfers are included if you are arriving on April 23 and departing on May 1 only.

Taxes & Gratuities: Taxes, surcharges, and government fees are subject to change. Gratuities have been included on this tour and include tips for the tour manager, local guides, ship’s guides, ship staff, drivers, luggage porters and included meals. Gratuities are not included for housekeeping staff in the hotels and tipping is at your discretion.

Fuel Surcharge: Should oil costs go above $65 a barrel and our tour operators adjust the rate of the cruise or tour cost accordingly, we reserve the right to adjust the cost of the cruise/tour.

Exchange Rate: In the case of currency fluctuations of great than 3%, we reserve the right to adjust our pricing according in order that we may be able to operate the cruise and tours effectively.
