Take a step back in time and experience these historic destinations right here in our own back yard. Charleston was established in 1610 and is defined by its cobblestone streets, alleyways and well-preserved pastel painted Old Southern-style architecture. Whether on a walking tour through the city while taking in some Jewish history, learning about the beginnings of the Civil War or discovering one of America’s oldest plantations, you’ll see how Charleston took its place in the history of our nation. In Savannah, take in the feeling of the “Old South” as you drive down cobbled streets draped with Spanish moss. Take in beautiful city squares, elegant mansions and secret gardens as you stroll through the picturesque historic district. Learn about the first Jewish communities in the south, dating from the 1700’s. Drive further south to reach Georgia’s Gold Coast to stop at St. Simons Island and its historic lighthouse, before reaching the Golden Isles where the Vanderbilts, Rockefellers and J.P. Morgan had vacation homes. Here, we’ll take a tram through the Historic Landmark District, a restoration project.
Join together with Jewish singles from across the US as we explore the historic cities of Charleston and Savannah and experience the iconic atmosphere of Jekyll Island.
