Plus, we’ll have some group activities to make your day even more enjoyable. Our day at sea will provide lots of opportunities for great times on our floating resort. Tonight, we’ll come together for an Amazing Journeys cocktail party, followed by an amazing show in the theater and late night dancing.
Sunday, July 8 – Ketchikan, Alaska
Arrive at 7 am, depart at 4 pm – Known as Alaska’s “First City”, Ketchikan is the first major community travelers come to as they journey north. Choose from many exciting optional tours in this Alaskan haven. Experience a water landing on a floatplane while enjoying a beautiful flightseeing adventure to Misty Fjords National Park, see authentic totem poles and walk along Creek Street, or enjoy eating some of the freshest halibut or salmon you’ve ever tasted! This evening, we’re back onboard for some entertainment, a group dinner and more.
Monday, July 9 – Tracy Arm Fjord and Juneau
Tracy Arm Fjord (Scenic Cruising) – Arrive at 6 am, depart at 10 am – Breathtaking Tracy Arm extends over 30 miles long, with nearly a quarter of its area covered in ice. In fact, it encompasses some of Alaska’s largest glaciers, including the twin Sawyer glaciers, which often expel enormous chunks of ice into the waters below in a magnificent process known as calving. Icebergs float along the surface of the glistening water in an array of sizes, from just a few inches up to three stories wide. Protected within the Tongass National Forest, Tracy Arm Fjord is a haven for wildlife. Black and brown bears, deer, wolves, harbor seals, mountain goats and a variety of seabirds have been spotted in the area. As you glide through the pristine fjord, you’ll first pass by a lush forest where a number of beautiful waterfalls cascade down, and then you’ll be treated to views of snowcapped mountains and blue-tinged glaciers more spectacular than you could ever imagine.
Juneau – Arrive at 1:30 pm, depart at 10 pm – Come face-to-face with the impressive Mendenhall Glacier up close, go whale watching or take a helicopter tour and walk on a glacier. Juneau is famous not only for gold and government but also for its breathtakingly beautiful glaciers and stunning views of both water and mountains. Join us this evening for music and drinks at the Red Dog Saloon.
Tuesday, July 10 – Skagway, Alaska and Cruising Inside Passage
Skagway – Arrive at 7 am, depart at 6 pm – Skagway was the gateway to the gold fields for the thousands who flocked to Alaska and the Yukon with the hope of striking it rich. Today, the frontier spirit is alive and well in this Gold Rush town. Adventure on a mountain bike in the rainforest and along stunning mountain scenery, stopping for photos along the way. Join us on a hike with beautiful snowcapped mountains as our backdrop, or take a train ride to learn about the history of the gold rush. Tonight, we’ll meet back onboard the ship for a pre-dinner drink, an evening of recounting the day’s activities and sailing through the Inside Passage.
Inside Passage – Arrive at 6:30 pm, depart at 10:30 pm – Enjoy spectacular up-close views of rain forests, local villages and eagles flying overhead as we cruise Alaska’s Inside Passage.
Wednesday, July 11 – At Sea
Cruising – Our cruise ship offers so many options to relax and indulge and today is your opportunity to do just that! Participate in one of the onboard classes, exercise in the gym, read a book as you watch the world go by from our ship, look for whales swimming by and eagles flying overhead. Tonight, enjoy a group dinner and entertainment galore, whether a musical production, late night comedy or dancing the night away in the club at the top of the ship.
Thursday, July 12 – Victoria, British Columbia
Arrive at 5:30 pm, depart at 11:59 pm – On our last day before returning home, spend the day enjoying all that the ship has to offer. Today we’ll have an opportunity to come together as a group as we wrap up our week together. Tonight, enjoy an evening in beautiful Victoria. Victoria exudes old-world charm and fragrant and colorful flowers are everywhere. The harbors, especially Inner Harbour, are dotted with pleasure craft, ferries and floatplanes. The city is renowned for its beautiful gardens, charming houses and very British feel. Take a stroll, enjoy dinner in town or relax at an “Old English Pub.”
Friday, July 13 – Seattle, Washington
