Day 1 – Friday, October 2 – Albuquerque, New Mexico
Today you’ll fly to Albuquerque, founded in 1706, where you will make your way from the airport to our hotel. You have arrived in the “Land of Enchantment.” New Mexico is a place diverse in culture and scenic beauty. In both Albuquerque and Santa Fe you’ll discover cities rich in multiculturalism, natural beauty and profound history. Tonight will be the official start to our Amazing Journeys where you’ll meet others from our group at our Group Welcome and Orientation, followed by a Shabbat Service and group dinner. (D)
Day 2 – Saturday, October 3 – Dawn Patrol – Mass Ascension – Albuquerque City Tour – Balloon Glow
Today you’ll experience one of the most photographed events in the world, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Early this morning, you’ll view over 100 colorful balloons from around the world at Dawn Patrol, followed by the Mass Ascension. It’s one of the most spectacular displays of sound and color in all of aviation. The balloons will make your spirits soar as the sky becomes an artist’s pallet of multicolored orbs dancing in the cool morning light. Later this afternoon, we’ll enjoy an Albuquerque City Tour featuring Old Town and the surrounding area, giving you the opportunity to stroll the historic adobe buildings that house over 150 shops, galleries and restaurants. Savor the unique fusion of Mexican, Native American and Spanish heritages. Experience a “must-do” as you ride along the famous Route 66. Tonight, we’ll return to the Balloon Fiesta where we’ll witness the amazing Balloon Glow, where just before dusk, burners from hundreds of balloons light up the evening sky, followed by a fireworks display. It will be an evening you’ll always remember. (B)
Day 3 – Sunday, October 4 – Albuquerque – Los Alamos – Bandelier – Santa Fe
This morning, we’ll travel to the Los Alamos Bradbury Science Museum to learn about the Manhattan Project and the creation of the world’s first atomic bomb. After, we’ll visit Bandelier National Monument, best known for its mesas, sheer-walled canyons, rock art and ancestral Pueblo dwellings. You’ll have some time to explore and hike the expansive trails of Bandelier. Later today, we arrive in Santa Fe. Our well-located hotel is just a few blocks off the historic plaza, right in the center of town. (B)
Day 4 – Monday, October 5 – Santa Fe
Today we’ll meet our local guide and discover Santa Fe, the upscale resort and artist community with Spanish-Pueblo roots. We’ll walk around the Plaza, see the Loretto Chapel and the Palace of the Governor’s, a Santa Fe landmark built in 1610. Delve into the culture and architecture that makes this city so unique. Enjoy the rest of the day and evening at your own pace in this historic city where you can explore the many art galleries, museums, restaurants and shops that Santa Fe is known for. Tonight, a special treat awaits at the Santa Fe School of Cooking. Watch an expert chef create a delicious meal before your eyes. Everything is made with a Southwest theme. After, you get to enjoy what you saw being prepared at our group dinner. (B, D)
Day 5 – Tuesday, October 6 – Santa Fe – Taos – Santa Fe
Today is dedicated to exploring Santa Fe independently. There is so much to see and do here, you’ll cherish the time you will have to discover its magic. Whether visiting art studios, seeing artists at work creating their crafts, enjoying a museum or leaving time to shop, this city will not disappoint. Tonight, we’ll host an Amazing Journeys Farewell Party, followed by a delicious Farewell Dinner. (B, D)
Day 6 – Wednesday, October 7 – Santa Fe – Albuquerque – Home
Today we’ll transfer you from Santa Fe to the Albuquerque Airport for your flight home. Your tour ends with wonderful memories of a spectacular Amazing Journey. (B)

Cancellation Policy: From the time of deposit until May 1, 2015, there is a $75.00 penalty for cancellation. From May 2 – July 23, 2015, the cancellation penalty is $350.00. From July 24 – September 8, 2015, the cancellation penalty is 50% of the total package price. From September 9, 2015 until the day of travel, the cancellation penalty is 100% of the total package price. Cancellations made on the day of departure and “no-shows” will receive no refund. There is no refund in the event of interruption or cancellation by the passenger after the start of the journey.
Cancellation Insurance: Cancellation insurance is highly recommended. Information will be sent with your tour confirmation.
Taxes and Gratuities: Taxes are subject to increases as local governments require. Amazing Journeys reserves the right to change tour pricing accordingly. All taxes and gratuities have been included in the cost of the tour package. Gratuities are included for baggage handling (one bag per person), local guides, drivers, tour guide and meal servers for included features.
Passport Requirements: A passport is not required for US citizens. For passengers who hold non-US passports, a valid passport is required and must be valid for six months beyond the last day of the trip.
