We’ve always said that coming on an Amazing Journeys trip is like coming to summer camp – activities, seeing old friends, meeting new ones, AJ staff acting as counselors and looking forward to an amazing experience! This evening, we will have a Welcome Dinner and Ice Breaker and time around the campfire accompanied by s’mores… of course! (D)
Monday, May 24
After breakfast, we will be offering a host of activities throughout the day, from canoeing and kayaking at the lake to archery and a nature hike, ceramics painting, swimming and more. A full schedule of events will be provided at camp and you will get to choose the activities that make you feel like a kid again. Take a break from the fun for lunch and pick up where you left off this afternoon. We will come together for a group dinner, followed by a socially distanced dance party! (B, L, D)

Choose to fly through the forest while zip-lining, go for a peaceful nature hike, tie-dye a t-shirt or try your hand at a new recipe in the teaching kitchen. Come together for lunch and then off you go again. Pick it all or spend the day relaxing – it’s your vacation and we want you to make the most of it. Join back together for dinner, followed by an evening activity like movie night or a talent show. (B, L, D)

Room Types and Roommate Matching: Accommodations within camp are varied. To make it simple, we have broken it down into two types:
Upgraded Accommodations – Each bedroom accommodation is within a house with a public area and shared bathroom accommodations (sharing between 2-5 people is possible, depending upon accommodations). We are encouraging single occupancy only in these units to be as safe as possible with regard to Covid safety. These cabins are “winterized” meaning they have heat and cooling.
Rustic Accommodations – Think typical camp cabins. These can be used as single or double occupancy (even triple). They are large enough to be socially distanced while you sleep, but we’ll offer roommate matching, just in case you’re afraid of night sounds or that predictable camp spider makes its way into your cabin and you want someone to hear you scream 😊 There are bathrooms connected to each cabin and they have multiple toilets and showers so that you can claim your own, even with a roommate These are “non-winterized” cabins, meaning no heat or cooling. A space heater is available for night use if necessary.
We must have a minimum of 15 participants in order to operate this camp experience.
