Monday, July 1 – Calgary, Alberta, Canada – Tour Begins

Get ready for an adventure that highlights the soaring majesty of the Canadian Rockies and the famous Calgary Stampede.  Our tour begins today in the province of Alberta. Tonight, join us for our Amazing Journeys Welcome and Orientation over drinks. Then enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travelers. (D)

Tuesday, July 2 – Calgary – Icefield’s Parkway – Lake Louise

This morning, leave Calgary behind as you head to the world-famous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. En route, journey along the unforgettable Icefields Parkway!  Waterfalls, rushing rivers, glacial peaks, imposing cliffs and snowcapped peaks paint the breathtaking canvas – so have your camera handy!  Enjoy a stop at the Athabasca Falls and marvel at its sheer beauty and power. Then, it’s your choice!  Stop at the Columbia Icefield and choose a fun ride across this mass of glacial ice which is over 1,000 feet thick – the largest accumulation of ice south of the Arctic Circle. Or, take a walk on the Glacier Skywalk to experience the breathtaking views of the Sunwapta Valley and witness the dramatic landscape from the glass-floored platform. This afternoon, stop at stunning Peyto Lake, a turquoise glacier-fed lake that evokes pure serenity. Then, arrive at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. This evening, its Diner’s Choice…choose the perfect spot from a “menu” of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louse’s great restaurants. (B, D)

Wednesday, July 3 – Lake Louise – Banff

Spend the morning at leisure exploring the grounds before you say goodbye to the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Perhaps you will go for a hike around the lake or take advantage of the amazing photo opportunities. En route to Banff, view the spectacular Moraine Lake and the awe-inspiring Valley of the Ten Peaks. The jagged Ten Peaks are distinctively saw-toothed, standing out amidst stunning alpine scenery. Arrive at the grand Fairmont Banff Springs, known as the “Castle in the Rockies,” for a luxurious 3-night stay. (B)

Thursday, July 4 – Banff

Start your day with breathtaking views of Banff’s Sulphur Mountain. Take a gondola ride to the summit where you will enjoy breakfast as you overlook the town and the valley. Next, set off for a scenic drive through Banff featuring the powerful Bow Falls and Hoodoos – known as the “Land of Sleeping Giants.” This afternoon, embark on a cruise of Lake Minnewanka. You will have wide open views of the Canadian Rockies and learn about the rich history of this lake. Tonight is yours to enjoy dinner in the quaint little town of Banff or at our magnificent hotel. Friday, July 5 – Banff

Today enjoy a day at leisure in this beautiful area.  There are lots of optional activities available.  You may want to take a dip in the famous Banff Sprints or perhaps you will take a stroll through Banff’s delightful downtown, walk down to the river nearby or sit back at our deluxe hotel as you take in the amazing scenery. This evening we’ll gather together for our Amazing Journeys Shabbat.  After, join your fellow travelers for dinner at the Fairmont Banff Springs where you’ll enjoy regional cuisine and toast to a wonderful trip! Saturday, July 6 – Banff – Calgary

This morning it’s off to the Calgary Stampede which has been entertaining people since 1912. Join Amazing Journeys for a spectacular farewell event with music, fireworks, the amazing Chuckwagon Races and Grandstand Show. You will travel to the Stampede grounds where you can visit the Midway, an authentic Native American village, various exhibits, and enjoy entertainment. The rodeo is the heart of the Calgary Stampede and your seat is reserved this afternoon to observe this festive show and cheer for one of your local favorites. This evening you have reserved seating for a great view of the various Stampede performances including the Chuckwagon races and musical entertainment. (B, L)

Sunday, July 7 – Calgary – Tour Ends

Our tour comes to a close today, leaving you with wonderful memories of your amazing journey to the world’s most breathtaking place on earth: the incomparable Canadian Rockies. You’ll leave with amazing memories and friendships to last a lifetime. (B)

These rates are based on an all-inclusive, custom-designed package that differs from offerings seen in public advertising. We are unable to make any of our package components available to anyone who is not part of our Amazing Journeys group.

Pre/Post-Tour Stay in Calgary: For those who want to arrive prior to the start of the tour, or stay one day after, we have a limited number of rooms held at our group hotel in Calgary. Please note – there will be no Amazing Journeys staff present nor will there be programming on these days. We are not able to match roommates for extra night stays. Rates include taxes and breakfast.
Double Occupancy: $125 per person
Single Occupancy: $240

Cancellation Policy: From the time of deposit until January 30, 2019, there is a $75 penalty for cancellation. From January 31 – April 11, 2019, the cancellation penalty is $350. From April 12 – May 31, 2019, the cancellation penalty is 50% of the total package price. From June 1, 2019 until the day of travel, the cancellation penalty is 100% of the total package price.  Cancellations made on the day of departure and “no-shows” will receive no refund.  There is no refund in the event of interruption or cancellation by the passenger after the start of the journey.

Travel Protection: Amazing Journeys recommends you purchase Travel Protection. Information will be sent with your trip confirmation.

Flights and Transfers: Airfare is not included with the tour cost.  You will fly into and out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Flight perimeters will be sent with your trip confirmation. Transfers from and to the airport are available at the start and the end of the tour for an additional fee.  Further details will be provided in the weeks prior to the tour departure.

Taxes and Gratuities: Taxes, surcharges, visa fees and government fees are subject to change. Gratuities have been included on this tour.  Tips for the local drive, guide, specialty guides, luggage porters and included meals are included in the cost of the tour.

Passport and Visa: A Passport is necessary to travel on this itinerary.  It must be valid for six months beyond the last day of the trip.  At this time, no visas are necessary to enter Canada for those from the US.  If you are a citizen of another country, please check the website for the Canadian Embassy to see if a visa is necessary.  Please note – visa requirements for Canada are changing quite often.

Exchange Rate: If the rate of exchange between the US Dollar and the Canadian Dollar fluctuates greater than 3%, we reserve the right to change the price of the tour.  Once final payment is made, the price will not change.
