Cancellation Policy: From the time of deposit until March 18, 2021, there is a $50 penalty for cancellation. From March 19 – May 20, 2021, the cancellation penalty is $400. From May 21 – July 1, 2021 the cancellation penalty is 35% of the cost of the tour. From July 2, 2021 until the day of travel, the cancellation penalty is 100% of the cost of the tour. Cancellations made on the day of departure and “no-shows” will receive no refund. There is no refund in the event of interruption or cancellation by the passenger after the start of the journey. Travel protection is recommended for participation in this program.
Travel Protection Plan – Cancel For Any Reason: Our tour operator offers a travel protection and cancellation waiver for citizens of the US, Canada and Australia only – $299 USD and $339 CAD. If taking back-to-back Ireland and Scotland tours, cost of coverage is $448.50 USD. Please contact Amazing Journeys for rates for Australian citizens. This Travel Protection Plan affords guests flexibility to cancel their travel plans for any reason up to 24 hours before departure for a full cash refund – not a voucher. In addition to pre-trip cancellation, the Travel Protection Plan offers additional coverages like trip interruption, medical expenses, baggage loss, and more. If you are requesting a double occupancy room, should you need to cancel, you will be responsible for the difference between the double occupancy and the single occupancy rate as your roommate will still be occupying the stateroom.

Flights and Transfers: International airfare is not included in the tour rate. Transfers are included with the rates from the arrival airport to the first hotel and from the last hotel on the itinerary to the airport. For your international flights, it is important that you not purchase airfare until you receive a confirmation letter from Amazing Journeys which will contain specific flight parameters. You will arrive into Dublin and depart from Shannon, if ending in Ireland or Edinburgh, if ending after our tour in Scotland. If you will be joining us on both our Ireland & Scotland back-to-back tours, a group flight between Shannon, Ireland and Glasgow, Scotland must be purchased. Details will be provided at a later date.
Taxes and Gratuities: Taxes, surcharges, and government fees are subject to change. Gratuities have been included on this tour and include tips for the tour manager, local guides, drivers, luggage porters and included meals. Gratuities are not included for housekeeping staff in the hotels and tipping is at your discretion.
Passport & Visa Requirements: A passport is necessary to travel on this itinerary. It must be valid for six months beyond the last day of the trip. A visa is not required for citizens of the US, Canada, Australia, Great Britain or EU countries. Please note that visa requirements can change at any time and it is up to the traveler to be aware of visa requirements.
COVID Precautions: Until further notice, we require you to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 at least two weeks before departure, and you must send us a copy of your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card with the CDC logo by email to or fax to Amazing Journeys. We do not test for COVID-19 or any other diseases. Masks will be required in all indoor public spaces except when dining. It is up to each traveler to be aware of any requirements or changes to state mandates and airline requirements as they are changing often. We are currently operating smaller groups and using larger busses. Masks will be required in all indoor public spaces. Many events will be held outside and we will be having reminders of social distancing. Hand sanitizers will be distributed, and frequent hand washing and sanitizing will be encouraged throughout your stay. Depending upon the situation at the time of this trip and the destination, some tour components may be modified, including meals and how many travelers we may limit to sitting at each table.

Saturday, July 24 – Dublin, Ireland – Tour Begins
Our tour begins today in Dublin, Ireland’s cosmopolitan capital. Depending upon your time of arrival, you may have time to enjoy walking around the city – checking out the shops and music on Grafton Street, touring the Guinness Storehouse, home of Guinness Beer, enjoying fish and chips in a local café, visiting the famous Temple Bar area or taking pictures of the fabulous architecture you’ll see including colorful painted doors. Tonight, join Amazing Journeys for a Welcome Orientation, then get a taste of Irish culture at a welcome dinner and show featuring lively Irish music and dancing. (D)
Sunday, July 25 – Dublin
Our local expert will escort us through Dublin’s magnificent sights. Exalt in the culture and color of Ireland’s world famous shopping thoroughfare, Grafton Street. Get lost inside the gardens of St. Stephen’s Green, and marvel at the electric green expanse of the largest enclosed city park in all of Europe, Phoenix Park. Our city tour will also feature a visit to the Irish Jewish Museum to learn about Jewish heritage in Ireland. This evening, enjoy some good “craic Gaelic” for fun as we put a modern twist on Irish cuisine during a cooking class at one of Dublin’s premier culinary institutions. (B, D)
Monday, July 26 – Dublin – Irish National Stud – Midleton – Kinsale
Today we take to Ireland’s country roads. Tour the Irish National Stud, an area of incredible natural beauty that’s home to regal thoroughbreds and opulent gardens. Head south to the Old Midleton Distillery, home of Jameson Irish Whiskey. Give it a go with a tasting of the distillery’s production. Continue on to the quaint coastal village of Kinsale, where we’ll meet a local expert for a leisurely walking tour. This evening, it’s Diner’s Choice in Ireland’s gourmet capital! We’ll let you choose the perfect spot from a selection of Kinsale’s great restaurants. (B, D)
Tuesday, July 27 – Kinsale
Today, it’s your choice! Visit the seaside town of Cobh, the last stop of the RMS Titanic; circuit this historic port alongside a local expert – this is the place where 2.5 million Irish people left their native land for new frontiers -OR- spend a leisurely day in Kinsale and enjoy its many galleries, shops and cafes. This evening is free so that you can enjoy another wonderful night in this picturesque seaside village. (B)
Wednesday, July 28 – Kinsale – Garnish Island – Killarney
Embark on the drive of a lifetime on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. You’ll fall in love with the quaint towns and charming villages that inhabit this iconic coastal route. Board a ferry and sail to a place that must be seen to be believed, Garnish Island. Sheltered in the Glengarrif Harbor of Bantry Bay, this hidden island is home to one of Ireland’s most beautiful gardens. Continue over the Cork and Kerry mountains to Killarney via the breathtaking Caha Pass. (B)
Thursday, July 29 – Killarney – Dingle – Killarney
Not far from the spirited pubs of Killarney await the enchanting hills and weather-worn bluffs of Dingle. Travel through a maze of green to Ireland’s most westerly point, Slea Head, where the locals will remind you that, “the next parish over is Boston.” Then, it’s your choice! Explore Dingle’s country lanes on foot -OR- enjoy time at leisure in Dingle Town, a place where pubs double as hardware stores, homemade “Dingle ice-cream” just may be the best you’ve ever had and the Guinness is always freshly tapped. Upon our return to Killarney, stop by a tea house for some scrumptious homemade treats at a café that employs individuals with intellectual disabilities. (B)
Friday, July 30 – Killarney – Cliffs of Moher – Aran Islands (Inisheer)
Leave the rugged southern coast behind and embark on an adventure, the likes of which you’ve never seen. Board a ferry bound for Inisheer, the smallest of the three Aran Islands (weather dependent). Take in unrivalled views while sailing beneath the iconic Cliffs of Moher. Upon arriving in Inisheer’s ethereal landscape, take a private tour through the labyrinth of stone walls blanketing the island. Learn about the island’s 250 inhabitants, their livelihoods and devotion to traditional culture and customs. As the last ferry leaves for mainland Ireland, settle into your island abode amid desolate yet striking beauty for an experience that’s totally unparalleled. This evening, join together with our Amazing Journeys community for Shabbat services, followed by a group dinner. (B, D)
Saturday, July 31 – Aran Islands (Inisheer) – Ennis
Enjoy a morning to sleep in, or wake early for a sunrise hike to O’Brien Castle. Greet the sun as it rises over the Irish mainland and illuminates Inisheer’s picturesque stone walls. Later, dive into local culture during a brown bread & scone making demonstration. Ferry back to the mainland and enjoy a visit to the Cliffs of Moher from above this time, and take in the classic view. This evening, we’ll arrive at our hotel in Ennis for an Amazing Journeys Farewell gathering and dinner as we toast the end of an incredible adventure! (B, D)
