This morning, we transfer from the pier in Yokohama to the train station where we will board the famed Bullet Train towards Kyoto. Upon our arrival, you will have free time to explore the city with an evening of leisure to enjoy the nightlife.
Tuesday, August 16
This morning, we begin with a buffet breakfast. Enjoy a full day excursion of Kyoto where you will learn its history with visits to castles, temples and shrines. This evening, gather with friends to try some of the restaurants for which Kyoto is so well-known and witness the Gozan Fire Festival.
Wednesday, August 17
After our group buffet breakfast, we will be offering a choice of two different tours for you to select. Included in our package, you get to select the experience you prefer: enjoy a full day tour to the beautiful and historical city of Nara, or select a half day tea ceremony experience and origami lesson. This evening we will join together for a group farewell dinner.
Thursday, August 18
This morning, we will transfer to the Osaka – Kansai Airport – KIX (your flight must fit with our scheduled transfer in order to participate). We head home with memories and friendships from an amazing vacation in Japan.

Cancellation Policy for the Cruise. Pre-Cruise and Post-Cruise Package: Prior to February 4, 2016, there is a $100 penalty for cancellation. From February 5 – May 12, 2016, the cancellation penalty is the amount of the deposit for the cruise, pre-cruise and post-cruise packages. From May 5 – July 1, 2016, the cancellation penalty is 50% of the total for the cruise, pre-cruise and post-cruise packages. Cancellations made on July 2, 2016 or after and “no-shows” will receive no refund. There is no refund in the event of interruption or cancellation after the start of the cruise, pre-cruise and post-cruise.

Cancellation insurance: Trip insurance is optional but highly recommended. Information will be sent with your cruise confirmation.
Passport and Visa Requirements: All passengers must present a valid passport (valid for six months beyond the last date of travel) in order to travel. There is no visa required for US, Canadian, UK or Australian Citizens. If you are from a country other than those mentioned, please check with the embassy of Japan to find out if a visa is necessary. Visa requirements may change at any time. It is up to the individual passenger to know whether a visa is required for travel.
Port taxes, Government Fees and Gratuities: Port taxes, government fees and gratuities have all been included in the rate. Port taxes, government fees and gratuities are based on August, 2015 rates and are subject to change. Fuel surcharges are not required at this time. Should they be reinstated, the passenger would be required to pay. Typically they would be no more than $15 per person per day.
Currency Fluctuations: In case of currency fluctuations greater than 3% on our pre-cruise and post-cruise packages, we reserve the right to adjust our prices accordingly in order to operate the tour.
Dining Preference: Late Dining has been reserved for our group on this sailing. In addition to the main restaurant, there are several specialty restaurants (fees apply), a buffet, room service, and poolside dining.
