Arrive in Rome and transfer on your own to our group hotel. The rest of the day is up to you – explore the area, relax after your international flight or walk around the local piazzas, indulge in local delicacies or explore the shopping scene! This evening, we will join together for a night out spent in a fun and lively area of Rome where there are lots of options for dining, nightlife, people watching!
Friday, August 9 – Rome, Italy
After a group breakfast at the hotel, you’ll have time to explore the beauty that Rome has to offer. We’ll be offering optional excursions that provide you the opportunity to explore Rome, whether this is your first visit or you’ve been here many times before.
For those arriving today for the 1-night package, arrive in Rome and transfer on your own to our group hotel. The rest of the day is yours to join in some of our optional group tours or relax as you acclimate to the new time zone.
This evening, we will be eating our way through Rome on a Roman Food Tour. Taste local flavors, indulge in some new delicacies and eat the way the Romans do! (B, D)
Saturday, August 10 – Rome, Italy
This morning, we will have a buffet breakfast at the hotel before we depart for a morning tour of Rome. After, we’ll transfer to our new home, Celebrity Edge, and get ready to set sail through the Mediterranean! (B)

Cancellation Policy for Cruise and Pre-Cruise Packages:Prior to February 5, 2019, there is a $100 penalty for cancellation. From February 6 – March 5, 2019, the cancellation penalty is the amount of the deposit for the cruise and pre-cruise package. From March 6 – May 1, 2019, the cancellation penalty is 50% of the total for the cruise and pre-cruise package. From May 2 – July 1, 2019, the cancellation penalty is 75% of the total for the cruise and pre-cruise package. Cancellations made on July 2, 2019 or after and “no-shows” will receive no refund. There is no refund in the event of interruption or cancellation after the start of the cruise and pre-cruise.
Travel Protection: Amazing Journeys recommends you purchase Travel Protection. Information will be sent with your trip confirmation.
Proof of Citizenship: All passengers must present a valid passport (valid for six months beyond the last date of travel) to board the vessel. There is no visa required for US, Canadian or UK Citizens to all of the countries we are visiting. If you are from a country other than those mentioned, please check with the Embassies of Italy, Spain, & Monaco to find out if a visa is necessary.
Dining Preference: Late Dining has been reserved for our group on this sailing. In addition to the main restaurant, there are several specialty restaurants (fees apply), a buffet and room service.
Currency Fluctuations: In case of currency fluctuations greater than 3% on our pre-cruise package, we reserve the right to adjust our prices accordingly in order to operate the tour.
Port Taxes, Fuel Surcharges, Government Fees and Gratuities: Port taxes, government fees and gratuities have all been included in the rate. Port taxes, government fees and gratuities are subject to change. Should oil costs go above $65 per barrel, and the cruise line adds fees, Amazing Journeys reserves the right to add them to the cost of the package. The cost will be no more than $10 per guest per day.
Air and Airport Transfers: Airfare has not been included in the cruise rates. Information on optional transfers to and from the ship will be sent closer to the sailing date. It is important that you not purchase airfare until you receive a confirmation letter which will contain specific flight parameters. Cruise and Pre-Cruise passengers will fly round-trip to Rome (FCO).
