Embark Princess Cruises Ruby Princess, depart at 4 pm – Our cruise and your Amazing Journey begins today. Get to know your fellow travelers as we gather poolside for a Meet and Greet as the ship sails southbound to the Mexican Riviera. After, we’ll gather together for our Group Welcome and Orientation, followed by our group dinner onboard. Later tonight, start your vacation on the right foot and join us in an evening of dancing in one of the many entertainment venues onboard our beautiful ship.
Sunday, December 31 – At Sea
Cruising – Make your last day of 2017 memorable. Explore our home-away-from-home and get to know your fellow Amazing Journeyers as we enjoy our first day at sea. Ruby Princess has a ton to offer so why not indulge? Join in one of our group exclusive events and gear up for a great vacation of adventure, exploration and good times. Take in live music while relaxing poolside, learn about the history of Mexico and more.
Tonight, prepare for an evening of New Year’s Eve festivities. There’s no better way to ring in the new year than from the deck of a cruise ship! Pop the champagne, don your gala attire and dance the night away into an amazing 2018!
Monday, January 1 – At Sea
Cruising -Happy 2018! Start the new year off right and relax, indulge and pamper yourself. Find your perfect first day of the year activity. Get your New Year’s resolution off to a great start by hitting the gym with a friend. Schedule a massage, relax poolside with a margarita in-hand or learn a new skill with one of the many onboard classes. Tonight, get ready for Mexico with an evening of live music with a local band. Ole!
Tuesday, January 2 – Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Arrive at 10 am, depart at 8 pm – Puerto Vallarta is one of Mexico’s most enticing coastal destinations. Each year millions come to laze on the dazzling sandy beaches, browse in the quirky shops, nosh in the stylish restaurants and wander the picturesque central streets and enticing malecón. Activities aplenty include whale watching adventures, tequila tasting, diving trips and day trips to the interior. Join with your friends for dinner onboard to share stories of your first amazing day in Mexico. Tonight, take in a show and listen to some live music.
Wednesday, January 3 – Mazatlan, Mexico
Arrive at 7 am, depart at 5 pm – Thanks to miles of sandy beaches, Mazatlán is one of Mexico’s most alluring and inviting beach destinations. Spend time in the Zona Dorada (Golden Zone), Mazatlán’s traditional tourist playground or head head over to the city’s characterfully refurbished old town and its gloriously unrefurbished malecón with bars and restaurants that still evoke the 1950s. Tonight, join us for an Amazing Journeys cocktail party! After dinner, we’ll meet up for a poolside movie under the stars, complete with cookies and milk, of course!
Thursday, January 4 – Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Arrive at 7 am, depart at 2 pm – Cabo is one of the premier resort destinations in the Western Hemisphere. Swim in the transparent waters, marvel at the wealth of marine life, relax on one of the white-sand beaches or try your hand at some of the finest sportfishing in the world. For the shoppers among us, you will find plenty to buy here including an array of colorful souvenirs. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a pre-dinner cocktail followed by an amazing show in the theater and late night dancing.
Friday, January 5 – At Sea
Cruising – Spend the day relaxing poolside with your friends while enjoying your favorite beverage as you share your most exciting experiences of the trip or de-stress with a hot stone massage. Choose to do it all, or nothing at all. It’s your vacation, and we want you to enjoy it as you please! Tonight, join together with others from our group for a Shabbat service at sea followed by our Amazing Journeys Farewell Event.
Saturday, January 6 – Los Angeles, CA
Arrive at 7 am – Soak in the last of your Mexican Riviera experience before you head home, taking with you new friends and memories of an amazing vacation.

Cancellation Policy: Prior to August 24, 2017, there is a $75 penalty for cancellation. From August 25 – September 27, 2017, the cancellation penalty is the amount of the deposit for the cruise plus pre-cruise package. From September 28 – November 28, 2017, the cancellation penalty is 50% of the total cruise plus pre-cruise package. Cancellations made on November 29, 2017 or after and “no-shows” will receive no refund. There is no refund in the event of interruption or cancellation after the start of the cruise or pre-cruise.
Cancellation insurance: Amazing Journeys recommends you purchase Travel Protection. Information will be sent with your trip confirmation.
Taxes, Service Charges, Government Fees and Gratuities: All taxes, service charges, government fees and gratuities have been included in the rate and are subject to change.
Flights and Transfers: Airfare has not been included in the cruise rates. Information about optional transfers to and from the ship will be sent closer to the sailing date. It is important that you not purchase airfare until you receive a confirmation letter which will contain specific flight parameters.
Passport and Visa Requirements: You will need a passport to travel to Mexico. It must be valid for 6 months after the last day of travel. If you are from outside the United States, you may be required to have a visa in addition to a passport. Please check with the Embassy of Mexico to find out if a visa is necessary.
Dining: Late Dining has been reserved for our group on this sailing. In addition to the main restaurant, there are several specialty restaurants (fees apply), a buffet and room service.
Fuel Supplement: Princess Cruises reserves the right to reinstate a fuel supplement for all guests should the price of oil increase above $65 per barrel.
