Day 1 – Thursday, June 27 Bozeman, Montana – Mammoth Hot Springs
Arrive in Bozeman and transfer to Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park. The first and oldest national park in the world, Yellowstone sprawls across 3,470 square miles and touches three western states. It is famous for its geysers, hot springs and incredible wildlife including large, free-ranging herds of buffalo. This evening, join your fellow travelers at a Welcome and Orientation, followed by a group dinner. (D)
Day 2 – Friday, June 28 Mammoth Hot Springs
Travel to Lamar Valley to experience a guided wildlife tour. Known to possess some of the richest population of wildlife in North America, be certain to keep an eye out for grizzly bears, black bears, grey wolves, bald eagles, elk, antelope and bison. Enjoy a picnic lunch before heading to Norris Geyser Basin. The basin is the hottest and most changeable thermal area in Yellowstone. With 2 ¼ miles of walking trails, you’ll discover the location of the tallest active geyser and colorful hot springs. Two loop trails depart from here and provide a safe route to experience unique viewing in this area. Tonight we’ll host a special backcountry-style Shabbat Service. (B, L)
Day 3 – Saturday, June 29 Mammoth Hot Springs – Yellowstone National Park
A delightful day of sightseeing awaits as you tour Yellowstone’s lower loop. You’ll see Lewis Canyon, River and Lake. After traveling through this spectacular area, stop at Old Faithful and watch in amazement as this predictable geyser erupts, sending a fountain of steam more than 60 feet in the air! It’s sure to be a sight you’ll never forget. You’ll be mesmerized by the amazing colors of Fountain Paint Pots in the Firehole River Area. Later, stop to explore the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and experience some of the park’s best views. Here you’ll see one of the tallest waterfalls in the United States and have the opportunity to stretch your legs and take a hike of the area. Continue on through the Lower Loop to Hayden Valley. The last stop on your journey today is to view Yellowstone Lake, the largest lake above 7000 feet in the United States. (B, D)
Day 4 – Sunday, June 30 Yellowstone – Grand Tetons – Jackson
Prepare for a day of adventure and countless photo ops! Set off for the awe-inspiring Teton Mountain Range. Grand Teton National Park showcases the youngest peaks in the Rockies and contains some of North America’s oldest rock formations. Approximately 12 Teton peaks rise above 12,000 feet and support a dozen mountain glaciers. As impressive as they are, none can compare to the Grand Teton, stretching 13,770 feet into the sky – more than a mile – above the valley of Jackson Hole. Take in the beauty of this majestic Alpine landscape. After a quick ferry ride across Jenny Lake, enjoy a hike to Inspiration Point for a spectacular lookout and amazing waterfall. Continue on to Jackson, for a three night stay. Tonight, a fun filled evening of cowboy entertainment and dinner is in store for you at the Bar J Chuckwagon. (B, D)
Day 5 – Monday, July 1 Jackson
This morning you’ll choose your included activity. Select a relaxing wildlife float trip or an exciting whitewater rafting adventure. Both take you along the Snake River providing scenic views of a grand landscape complete with a picnic lunch. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy independently. Jackson packs more scenery, adventure, culture and excitement per square mile than anywhere in the country. (B, L)
Day 6 – Tuesday, July 2 Jackson
Your day begins as you take the Aerial Tram to the top of Rendezvous Mountain. See the world from the top down and be amazed by unrivaled 360-degree views of Jackson Hole, the Snake River Valley, Grand Teton National Park and the staggering summit of the Grand! Hike around the summit to witness incredible views and take in the high alpine tundra that abounds with hardy wildflowers and fascinating geological aspects including fossils from the ancient oceans that once covered Jackson Hole! Then, it’s your choice! Board the tram, or take the seven-mile trail back down to the bottom. Tonight join your fellow traveler’s for a farewell dinner to celebrate a trip filled with scenic delights. (B, D)
