Day 1 – Saturday, July 19 – Denver, Colorado – Tour Begins
Traverse the Colorado Rockies with Amazing Journey’s as you travel through the beauty of nature with Alpine lakes, towering peaks and rolling meadows at every turn. This evening, join your fellow travelers at our Group Welcome and Orientation, followed by a group dinner. (D)
Day 2 – Sunday, July 20 – Denver – Estes Park – Rocky Mountain National Park – Denver
Travel to the resort village of Estes Park, famous for its Stanley Hotel, the inspiration for Stephen King’s novel, The Shining. Next stop is Rocky Mountain National Park to discover the true meaning of “panoramic” as you experience incredible views. Get out and join us for an option hike. Then, travel across the famed Trail Ridge Road which forms the highest continuous highway in America reaching heights of 12,183 feet. This celebrated “Roof of the Rockies” offers views of massive peaks and rugged canyons as you cross the continental divide. Tonight, join us for a gathering of local Jewish singles from the Denver area. (B)
Day 3 – Monday, July 21 – Denver – Vail – Grand Junction
On the way to Grand Junction a stop is made at the picturesque Alpine village of Vail. Enjoy some free time to either take a gondola or chair lift to the top of the mountain, walk amongst the shops or go on a short hike to enjoy the beauty of the area. Vail is one of the finest resort destinations in the world. Later, journey to Colorado’s wine country to learn about one of the region’s finest vineyards and sample the fruits of its labors. Tonight’s winemaker’s dinner at a lovely vineyard will be an exceptional experience where you can relax and enjoy the company of your fellow travelers. (B, D)
Day 4 – Tuesday, July 22 – Grand Junction – Arches National Park – Dead Horse State Park – Moab, Utah
The beauty of today’s visits to the parks is stunning. In Arches National Park you will see the world’s largest concentration of natural sandstone arches and an astounding variety of other geological formations. Enjoy some free time to hike though this amazingly beautiful landscape. Dead Horse State Park contains many spectacular views of deposits of sediments by ancient oceans, freshwater lakes and streams and windblown dunes. Enjoy a guided tour upon arrival. (B)
Day 5 – Wednesday, July 23 – Moab – Canyonlands – Moab
Arrive at Canyonlands National Park and travel to the Island in the Sky mesa which rests on sheer sandstone cliffs over 1,000 feet above the surrounding terrain. Since the 1940’s Moab had become famous for filming western movies. The beauty of the town is as breathtaking as the surrounding area. The remainder of the day is free to explore all the beauty and activities Moab has to offer. There are many optional tours offered in Moab. Why not try a jeep tour or perhaps you will want to try white-water rafting? There are horseback rides and mountain biking adventures. Tonight, we’ll have a group dinner together. (B, D)
Day 6 – Thursday, July 24 – Moab – Mesa Verde National Park – Durango, Colorado
Have your cameras ready for one of the most famous photo opportunities in the west, the four corners where you will see Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona. An incredible visit awaits at Mesa Verde National Park which preserves the one thousand year culture of the remarkable Anasazi Indians. Visit the fascinating Spruce Tree Cliff Dwellings to see two of the largest cliff dwellings built between AD 1211 – 1278 by ancestors of the Pueblos. (B)
Day 7 – Friday, July 25 – Durango – Colorado Springs
This morning depart for Colorado Springs. On the way you surely will marvel at the scenery through southern Colorado. Later, travel to the Garden of the Gods, on the National Register for Historic Places, to see the towering sandstone formations and enjoy a wonderful view of Pike’s Peak. Tonight we’ll enjoy an Amazing Journeys Shabbat service, followed by a group dinner. (B, D)
Day 8 – Saturday, July 26 – Colorado Springs – Manitou Springs – Colorado Springs
Depart for Manitou Springs, home of Pike’s Peak, the legendary symbol of the 1859 Gold Rush. Embark on Pike’s Peak Cog Railway, the world’s highest cog railroad, for an 8.9 mile journey to the top of Pike’s Peak (approx. 14,110 ft.). During the journey you will see magnificent views and perhaps animals in their native habitat. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a Farewell Dinner to celebrate a trip filled with scenic delights. (B, D)
Day 9 – Sunday, July 27 – Colorado Springs – Tour Ends
Your tour ends in Colorado Springs. (B)

Cancellation Policy: From the time of deposit until March 18, 2014 there is a $75.00 penalty for cancellation. From March 19 – May 15, 2014, the cancellation penalty is $350.00. From May 16 – June 18, 2014, the cancellation penalty is 50% of the package price. From June 19, 2014 until the day of travel, the cancellation penalty is 100% of the total package price. Cancellations made on the day of departure and “no-shows” will receive no refund. There is no refund in the event of interruption or cancellation by the passenger after the start of the journey.
Cancellation insurance: Cancellation insurance is recommended. Information will be sent with your tour confirmation.
Taxes and Gratuities: Taxes, surcharges, and government fees are based on December 2013 rates and are always subject to change.Gratuities have been included on this tour and include tips for the Tour Manager, local guides, baggage handlers, and all meals included in the cost of the tour.
Flights and Transfers: Flights to and from Colorado are not included. The tour begins in Denver and ends at our hotel in Colorado Springs. Transfers from the airport are not included.
Passport and Visa Requirements: If you are joining us from outside of the United States, you must have a passport to travel. If you are from outside the US, Canada or the EU, please check the website for the US Embassy to see if a visa is necessary.
