Cancellation Policy: From the time of deposit until January 7, 2026, there is a $200 penalty for cancellation. From January 8 – July 14, 2026, the cancellation penalty is the amount of the deposit for the tour and any pre/post nights. From July 15 – August 15, 2026 the cancellation penalty is 25% of the cost of the tour including any pre/post nights. From August 16 – August 31, 2026 the cancellation penalty is 50% of the cost of the tour including any pre/post nights. From September 1, 2026 until the day of travel, the cancellation penalty is 100% of the cost of the tour and any pre/post nights. Cancellations made on the day of departure and “no-shows” will receive no refund. There is no refund in the event of interruption or cancellation by the passenger after the start of the journey. Your decision not to participate on the tour due to State Department advisories, fear of travel, illness or any other reason will be deemed a cancellation.
Travel Protection: Travel protection is highly recommended for participation in this program. Information will be included in your confirmation letter.
Passport & Visas: If you are arriving from outside of the US, a passport with at least 6 months validity from the last day of travel is required. Please check with the US Embassy in your own country to see if a visa is necessary for your arrival in the US.
This trip is for you if: This trip is for you if you’re an on-the-go traveler – you don’t want to miss a thing, walking and standing for 2-3 hours isn’t a big deal and you’re able to walk at a moderate pace, covering several miles, hills and uneven terrain. Walking four miles throughout the day is very doable and you can easily climb stairs. There are elevation gains between 50 to 300 feet throughout the areas visited during this tour. You can navigate hills and uneven/wet ground independently, climb up and into various modes of transportation including raised vans. Touring and overnight locations include elevations as high as 6,000 to 8,000 feet above sea level. You can expect several early mornings, and some longer days balanced with free time to recharge or set out on your own adventure. When traveling through Utah, you will encounter some warmer, but also cooler temperatures. You must be in good health and prepare properly. This trip is not suitable for those who require assistance with walking or who travel on mobility devices.
Vaccines: At this time there are no specific vaccinations required for travelers. We recommend you visit a travel clinic or see your health professional to be sure you are up to date on vaccinations needed for travel. Requirements can change at any time. You can get more information at the following web site: Center for Disease Control. Please note that our Amazing Journeys staff are not medical professionals and can therefore give you no further information on what vaccinations or medications you may need for this or any other tour.
Taxes & Gratuities: Gratuities have been included in the price of this tour and include tips for the tour guide/driver, and servers at included meals. Gratuities are not included for housekeeping staff in the hotels and tipping is at your discretion. Taxes, surcharges, and government fees are subject to change.
Flights: Flights will be available for this trip beginning in late November 2025. It is important that you not purchase airfare until you receive a confirmation letter from Amazing Journeys. For this itinerary, flight parameters are as follows:
Arrive in Salt Lake City – land in Salt Lake City, Utah (airport code SLC) before 3:00pm on October 16. Our first program will begin that evening with a group welcome, Shabbat gathering and dinner.
Return from Salt Lake City – depart from Salt Lake City, Utah (airport code SLC) any time on October 24.
Transfers: Transfers between the Salt Lake City Airport and hotels are not included in your tour package. It is an easy 20-minute Uber/taxi ride to our hotel.
Twin Accommodations: Twin accommodations are available if you and a friend are traveling together. When signing up for twin occupancy, should one of the roommates cancel, the remaining traveling roommate will assume the cost of a single supplement. Standard cancellation terms apply to any cancellation.
Baggage: Each traveler will be limited to one checked suitcase for this trip. We recommend soft sided luggage, such as a wheeled duffle bag. For your carry-on, we recommend a backpack that you will use on day hikes. Please note that you will be responsible for your own baggage when checking into and out of hotels.
Credit Card Payments: Rates listed are for final payments made by check. After the initial deposit, all payments made by credit card will have a 3% credit card fee.
Fuel Surcharge: Should oil costs go above $65 a barrel and our tour operators adjust the rate of the tours cost accordingly, we reserve the right to adjust the cost of the tour.
We must have a minimum of 10 participants in order to operate this tour. The maximum number of participants on this tour is 22.

Friday, October 16 – Salt Lake City – Tour Begins
Welcome to Utah! Arrive today in Salt Lake City, where our adventure begins. Explore or relax – the day is yours. Salt Lake City sits between the towering Wasatch Mountains and the Great Salt Lake, offering a unique combination of natural beauty and historic architecture. We’ll offer recommendations on how to best see the sights. This evening, gather for our Group Welcome where you’ll meet your fellow travelers and your amazing staff. We’ll join together for a Shabbat service, followed by a group dinner. (D)
Saturday, October 17 – Salt Lake City – Canyonlands National Park – Dead Horse Point – Moab
We depart Salt Lake City early this morning and as we leave the city, the landscape shifts dramatically – from the alpine foothills of the Wasatch Range to the sculpted sandstone canyons and mesas of the Colorado Plateau en route to Canyonlands National Park. Hike to Mesa Arch for an up-close view of one of the most photographed arches in the Southwestern US. Visit an Ancestral Pueblo Granary. Explore the Grand Viewpoint and hike along the rim of the Island in the Sky district. Cap off the experience by taking in the scenic panoramic views from Dead Horse Point State Park located next door to Canyonlands. This evening, we check in for our two-night stay at our hotel, right in the heart of Moab. This evening is a free to explore the local shops and restaurants in Moab. (B) Drive time: Approximately 4 hours to Canyonlands, 30 minutes to Moab
Sunday, October 18 – Moab – Arches National Park – Moab
Early this morning, choose a guided hiking adventure to witness the impressive sandstone formation of Delicate Arch. Throughout the day, there will be hiking and viewing options throughout Arches National Park to see the expansive Landscape Arch, one of the longest natural arches in the world and the Windows Section and Double Arch section of the park, taking beautiful pictures along the way. A scenic drive/hike along the Colorado River showcases ancient petroglyphs depicting animals, humans and geometric patterns carved onto red-rock walls. Later today, return to Moab with an evening free to explore this fun city. Enjoy dinner on your own, or meet up with others from the group to try a new restaurant in the heart of Moab. (B, L)
Monday, October 19 – Moab – Goblin Valley – Capitol Reef National Park – Torrey
Today offers a mix of whimsy and wonder as you venture into the goblin-like formations of Goblin Valley State Park before continuing into the heart of red rock country at Capitol Reef National Park. The day is filled with otherworldly sandstone hoodoos, canyon narrows and sweeping desert vistas. Capitol Reef is a less-crowded gem known for its colorful cliffs, natural bridges, orchards, and hidden slot canyons. This afternoon, we delve into the narrows of Sulphur Creek or Grand Wash and hike to the Hickman Bridge, a 133-foot natural bridge and one of the park’s standout natural arches. This evening, enjoy a group dinner together. (B, L, D) Drive time: Approximately 3.5 hours to Goblin Valley, 1 hour to Capitol Reef
Tuesday, October 20 – Torrey – Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument – Bryce Canyon National Park
Today’s drive is as much about the journey as the destination. We’ll travel the breathtaking Scenic Byway 12, an All-American Road that winds through alpine forests, slickrock canyons and towering plateaus. Key stops include Boulder Mountain, the charming town of Escalante and viewpoints within Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. By afternoon, we’ll arrive at Bryce Canyon National Park, a geological fairyland filled with towering hoodoos (irregular columns of rock), slot-like ridges and amphitheaters that seem to glow in shades of pink and orange. Enjoy a short hike or rim walk followed by a group dinner near the park. (B, L, D) Drive time: Approximately 4 hours with scenic stops along the way
Wednesday, October 21 – Bryce Canyon National Park – Zion National Park – Springdale
This day begins early with a memorable sunrise at Bryce Canyon, where the soft golden light ignites the hoodoo-filled amphitheaters in a dazzling display of color. After breakfast and a final stroll along the rim, the journey continues south via the Mount Carmel Highway, winding through a high desert plateau and then descending into the soaring cliffs of Zion National Park. In the afternoon, you’ll enter Zion through the famous Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel, then spend a few hours exploring the canyon floor where the Virgin River, red rock walls and hanging gardens create an oasis-like atmosphere. This evening, check into your hotel located just outside the park in Springdale, a cute little town with lots of shops and restaurants to explore during our free time this evening. (B) Drive time: Approximately 2.5 hours
Thursday, October 22 – Springdale – Zion National Park – Springdale
Today is all about slowing down and soaking in the grandeur of Zion Canyon. With a full day to explore, enjoy both guided and self-paced hikes, tranquil riverside paths and shaded canyon groves. Traverse the 3-mile Emerald Pools loop in Zion National Park to see a trio of pools and stunning waterfalls, followed by a leisurely lunch at Zion Lodge, then continue exploring iconic landmarks like the Court of the Patriarchs, Weeping Rock or the Riverside Walk. Whether you choose to hike deep into a canyon, relax beneath cottonwoods by the Virgin River or browse the Springdale galleries in the evening, this day offers freedom, beauty and awe at every turn. Tonight is another free evening to have dinner with others on your own in Springdale, or relax back at our lodge, with spectacular views of the red rocks of Zion and a million stars overhead. (B, L)
Friday, October 23 – Springdale – Zion National Park – Salt Lake City
Early this morning, those who want to return to Zion can do so, or feel free to stick around the hotel for a leisurely breakfast before we depart Springdale. Mid-morning, we’ll start our return drive to Salt Lake City, with a photo stop to see the soaring peaks of Navajo sandstone at Kolob Canyons in the lesser-known northern section of Zion, before a lunch stop in Cedar City. Upon arrival in Salt Lake City, join together for our Amazing Journeys Farewell Event and celebrate Shabbat. After, head out with others to explore the amazing dining scene in Salt Lake City. (B, L) Drive time: Approximately 1 hour to Kolob Canyons, 4.5 hours to Salt Lake City including breaks
Saturday, October 24 – Salt Lake City – Tour Ends
After eight days filled with desert hikes, stunning viewpoints and unforgettable group experiences, today is a time to rest, reflect and return home. Enjoy a relaxed morning with breakfast at the hotel before heading back home with memories of our Amazing Journey and the amazing national parks. For those with later flights, the hotel’s prime location offers easy access to shops, coffee spots, and last-minute sightseeing within walking distance. (B)
