Gabe Kovacs - Amazing Journeys - Jewish Singles Travel

Gabe Kovacs

Born and raised in Budapest, Gabe was always searching for the unknown. After the fall of the Iron Curtain, he was so drawn to the West, that he spent a year when he was 17 at a high school in Michigan. This, being his first flight ever, completely changed his life, making him a self-proclaimed travel fanatic.

Gabe always loved books, he was already reading fairy tales to his mates at age 4 in kindergarten. Reading and learning about the conflicts of the 20th century, he always felt that something was odd, something was missing. Then at age 19, he found out he was Jewish. He got into deep and long conversations with his beloved grandpa, getting to understand the heritage of his family’s history.

Gabe doesn’t eat to live – he lives to eat. In addition to eating, his other hobbies include driving for EMTs, riding his motorcycle, sharing a pillow with his dog, and singing to his kids.

When he is not on the road, spending quality time with his family is the greatest priority, but he never stops discovering new places.

“Gastronomy is the cement of the cultures, a great dinner will always bring complete strangers to the same table”
